This measures approximately 17.2 x 11.0 x 7.0 mm and is cut into a pear shape. The stone has a bight firey surface and the play of color consists of mainly red, orange, gold, and green tones. Some flashes of blue and purple can also be seen to travel within the gem. Because of all the blazing red and orange tones, the gem does indeed appear to be on "fire" at certain times This is a naturally earth mined gemstone and has been smoke treated to enhance color. Don't be fooled by lesser imitations. this is not a doublet or filled product, this is solid earth mined stone.
