This weighs 2.65 CTS and has been cut into an oval shape. The measurements are approximately 12.6 x 8.0 x 5.5 mm. The stone has an excellent play of color, including red as the dominant tone, which is considered by many to be the most desirable color for an opal. Other beautiful iridescent shades such as orange, gold and pink can be seen shifting any flashing throughout the gem. As with all opals, the colors are most intense when viewed under a light source, either artificial or sunlight. Don't be fooled by lesser imitations. This is not a doublet or filled product, this is solid earth mined stone. There is no discernable damage or chips and is in excellent condition.
