This weighs 3.70 CTS and has been cut into a pear shape. The measurements are approximately 14.6 x 8.6 x 5.5 mm. The stone has an incredible array of bright shifting colors that "dance" and move freely upon the surface. Almost every shade of the rainbow is represented in a strong play of color. As with all opals, the colors are most intense when viewed under a light source, either artificial or sunlight. This would make a stunning ring or smaller piece of jewelry. This is a natural gemstone and has been smoke treated to enhance color. Don't be fooled by lesser imitations. This is not a doublet or filled product, this is solid earth mined stone.
