This weighs 4.20 CTS and has been cut into an oval shape. The measurements are approximately 13.9 x 9.1 x 6.5 mm. The stone has a brilliant Irridescent flash of color the envelopes the entire surface. Depending on the angle in which viewed, a bright red or green color can be seen to illuminate the gem. Some hints of gold, orange and violet are also found traveling throughout the piece. As with all opals, the colors are most intense when viewed under a light source, either artificial or sunlight. Don't be fooled by lesser imitations. This is not a doublet or filled product, this is solid earth mined stone. There is no discernable damage or chips and is in excellent condition.
